Because this flu season is poised to be a bad one, folks.

Vermont health officials are warning that this year’s season is expected to be particularly nasty, and are encouraging Vermonters (and non-Vermonters) not to skip the vaccine.

The flu already is working its way through other states, and Vermont is likely to be next, The Associated Press reported. The best way to protect yourself and others, according to Vermont Health Commissioner Dr. Mark Levine, is to suck it up and get the shot.
