Patch, a one-eyed horse, blew everybody — and much of the competition — away at the Belmont Stakes on Saturday to claim third place.
Patch was viewed as a long shot to win the race, so his placing in the top three was a stunning feat. Tapwrit was the victor, beating second-place finisher Irish War Cry for the title.
