The shows were shut down in 1980, part of the effort to return the fair to its family-friendly roots. 2️⃣ The Ed Larkin Contra Dancers perform at the fair on the same day. Officially formed in 1933, the group continues to perform at the Tunbridge Fair every year and is the oldest contra dance organization in the United States, according to fair organizers. The annual fair runs today through Sunday.
