Heads up, y’all: The Bachelor has brought its antics to the Green Mountain State.
The long-running hit reality series was in Manchester, Vt., this week filming opening scenes for its latest spinoff, Bachelor: Winter Games, according to The Bennington Banner.
The show is described as a “winter sports-themed reality competition” series, and it’s scheduled to premiere in February on ABC.
Contestants were in Manchester to partake in an opening-ceremony parade, and residents were quite happy to participate in the accompanying shoot. The games themselves will be filmed in a currently undisclosed location in Vermont, according to the Banner.
Residents and town officials alike seemed pleased with the exposure the shoot afforded the town. From the Banner story:
“It’s pretty exciting when something this big comes to a little town like this,” said Chip Edson, owner of the local Flying Cow Signs. “Any exposure is good for a town of this size, and I think it will be awesome seeing it on television.”
Indeed, although Manchester is so darn cute it probably didn’t need more publicity, tbh. It’s already a perfect winter destination.
Infamous Bachelor blogger Reality Steve had pics, of course:
(SPOILER): Confirmed that Lesley Murphy is part of Winter Games cast as you can see in pic. Also, Lauren Griffin from this season’s Bachelor. Bizarre that the 2 girls from this season on WG, Lauren & Bibiana, were girls that lasted 2 & 3 episodes respectively. pic.twitter.com/QLEtAlZ5UC
