If you have gripes about Upper Valley traffic, there’s now a Facebook group for you

Any member of the Upper Valley VT/NH Facebook group knows that traffic and roads are a frequent topic of discussion: People driving poorly, road conditions, annoying infrastructure issues, etc.

If you’ve ever chimed in on a post to express your frustrations, I’m pleased to inform you there’s now a group dedicated solely to your complaints: Stupid Intersections of the Upper Valley.  The group currently is public, but you’ll need to request access to become a full-fledged member (and complain). Once you’re in, however, it appears to be a safe space in which you can vent to your heart’s content.

Are you a member? Do you plan to join? Tell us in the comments!

If you know where to buy a jet pack in the UV, please help this guy out

Upper Valley resident Joe Honkala put out a call on Facebook this week for jet packs, and the internet delivered.

Helpful suggestions included Michael’s (“They have everything!”), Listen and of course, Dan and Whit’s (remember, if they don’t have it, you don’t need it).

Facebook user Andy Martin highlighted the area’s lack of jet-pack amenities: “What the Upper Valley really needs is a jet pack re-fueling station,” he said in the comments.

If I were Joe, I’d try Amazon.

As I head out on vacation, I leave you with “Poupi’s incredible adventures !” by Komiku

I’m heading out on vacation, so I’ll see ya the week of Feb. 5!

Until then, (1) you’re in good hands with Amanda flying solo, and (2) I leave you with “Poupi’s incredible adventures !” by Komiku, which I stumbled across today while searching for public domain music for videos. It’s 70 songs of glory, tagged on the Free Music Archive as folk/soundtrack/chiptune/instrumental, and I am all about it.

From the album description, which goes on for a very long time after this: “It’s the story of Poupi (they/them/their), a cute little non gendered doggo. They know that their is a prophecy that they have to work on, and they can only work on one week before the prophecy is achieved.” Along their adventures, Poupi works with Mister Paillettes (Mister Glitters), a “handsome glitter with a crooner voice,” competes in a dance contest with a gang of alley cats, “chills a bit” with Prince Cheese Burger, and more.

Their Bandcamp is also very good and fun. The only rule for using their music is to not be oppressive.

The Hartland song, The Pilgrims’ new video and now, Poupi. Don’t say I never did nothin’ for ya!

Happy Friday, y’all, and have a good week.
