Award-winning actress, writer and producer Mindy Kaling will deliver the Dartmouth College 2018 commencement address in June, the school announced today. (Click through to read more at the Valley News website, and find a full story in Thursday’s paper.)

I’m currently in the midst of a Mindy Project binge on Hulu so let me just say …

Kaling follows several other TV personalities who have delivered addresses in recent years, including Jake Tapper in 2017, Shonda Rhimes in 2014 and Conan O’Brien in 2011.

Conan was one of three Dartmouth speakers on NPR’s list —  first published in May 2014 and updated in July 2015 — of the best commencement speeches, ever. The list includes 350 speeches dating back to 1774. The others from Dartmouth were Fred Rogers, aka Mr. Rogers, in 2002, and Elie Wiesel, in 2006.

The full list of Dartmouth’s commencement speakers, plus a bunch of other facts, is here.

Watch Tapper’s, Rhimes’ and O’Brien’s speeches in the videos below.
