AVA Gallery’s storytelling series, The Mudroom, is seeking entries for its next event, which is scheduled for Dec. 14.
Do you have something you want to come clean about? Have you ever found yourself in a terribly awkward situation? Now’s your chance to get it all off your chest.
There’s still time to submit your entry for consideration at the next session of The Mudroom, AVA Gallery’s quarterly storytelling series. Saturday (Nov. 18) is the entry deadline for the next event, set for Dec. 14. The event’s theme is “Guilty Pleasures and Embarrassing Moments,” which honestly is so relatable (we’ve all lived through one at some point).
Five submitted stories will be chosen for sharing at the event, per a Facebook post from The Mudroom team. Brief story submissions, and a bio, can be sent to email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org. Each person selected to share has seven minutes in which to tell their story.
The Mudroom brings “Upper Valley residents to the stage to share their personal stories, adventurous, mysterious, funny sad and sweet,” according to its Facebook page. More information on The Mudroom can be found here.
AVA Gallery’s quarterly story-telling series, The Mudroom, is looking for folks to get up on stage for its next round of stories to be told, themed “guilty pleasures and embarrassing moments.”
Stories are up to 10 minutes long and told live, not read. (Kind of like a well-known program often heard on public radio that begins with T and rhymes with ‘red rocks,’ or another named after a bug.) They should also be autobiographical.
Pitches — including a summary of your story, 300 words max, and a biography, up to 150 words — are due by Nov. 18. The event is on the evening of Dec. 14, a Thursday.
Send your pitches or questions to email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org. Read more at The Mudroom Facebook page.
