GOP unveils its latest health bill — here’s how it stacks up against Obamacare

Senate Republicans on Thursday presented their latest round of reforms to their proposed health care legislation, but the changes still aren’t winning them much praise.  Critics — including at least three Republican lawmakers — largely dismissed the revised bill, which kept the deep Medicaid cuts proposed in the last version, among other things. The dissent calls into question whether Republicans will have the votes necessary to pass an overhaul of the existing bill, which was signed into law by former President Barack Obama in 2010.

“The revised Senate health care bill released today does not include the measures I have been advocating for on behalf of the people of Arizona,” Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., said in a statement on Thursday, according to The Washington Post.

Curious what the differences are between this bill, the previous version of the bill and the Affordable Care Act, the existing health care law (commonly known as “Obamacare”) that the GOP is working to repeal? The Los Angeles Times has put together this super handy, easy to understand and visually palatable piece that outlines everything you need to know.
