Coffee lovers, rejoice: The newly built Starbucks on Route 12A is gearing up its grand opening.
The opening is set to take place on Saturday. Workers have been seen in the building this week preparing the site’s interior for its unveiling.

There’s a new restaurant coming to Route 12A!
Brace yourself, y’all.
Massachusetts-based restaurant chain 110 Grill plans to open a location in the Upper Valley Plaza, a company executive told the Valley News.
The restaurant will open in the space previously occupied by a Verizon dealer, next to the old Shaw’s store (which, ICYMI, is currently being renovated into a HomeGoods store, yas), according to a business note published in Sunday’s paper.
The eatery describes its offerings as “modern American cuisine” in a “trendy casual atmosphere.” I did the legwork and looked up their menu because duh that’s what matters, and it looks pretty good. See for yourself here.
In other Route 12A news, the recently built Starbucks is preparing to open, per a sign on its facade. Can’t forget that new state liquor and wine outlet that currently is in the works, either.

West Lebanon Kmart closes its pharmacy

The Route 12A Kmart abruptly closed its pharmacy on Tuesday, a move that came as a surprise to many Upper Valley residents.
The pharmacy’s closing is part of Kmart parent company Sears Holdings Corp.’s efforts to cut costs across its stores as revenues continue to fall. The Sears store in the nearby Upper Valley Plaza closed its doors for good this summer.
The Kmart store will remain open.
HomeGoods, PetSmart coming to Upper Valley Plaza in West Lebanon
It’s gonna have to be called the Smush-Two-Words-Together-To-Make-Your-Business-Name Shopping Center. We’ve been hearing rumors for months, and now we can say the plans to move a HomeGoods into the old Shaws are true — PLUS three other businesses, including a PetSmart.
That means that PetSmart has abandoned its former plans to build a new store next to JCPenney.
The development company that oversees the Upper Valley Plaza in West Lebanon, N.H., has plans to subdivide the vacant Shaws supermarket building to hold four tenants, including PetSmart and HomeGoods stores.
